Yes, some members exchange muffins, art work, etc. In most cases the hours exchanged should total the hours spent on the product. When this is not applicable, members can work out an agreement that they both agree on.
CAN I HOLD A SMALL GROUP?
Yes, this is a great way to use the Time Exchange of Door County. The teacher should receive the number of hours preparing for and offering the class. Each student will give this amount of time. Clearly, with more than one student, there will be extra timebank hours, which should be donated back to the Time Exchange of Door County to assist members in need. A time bank mentor will be available to help you with this transaction.
SHOULD I INCLUDE TRAVEL TIME IN THE TIME EXCHANGE?
Yes, we encourage members to pay timebank hours for transportation that you could not provide for yourself. For example, if a person helps you in your home for one hour and travels 15 minutes to get to your home and back, you would give them 1.5 hours. If they live close and decline the time to travel, that's fine, but please offer.
HOW ABOUT COSTS LIKE GAS, INGREDIENTS, MATERIALS?
Things that cost real money like gas for rides, ingredients for cooking, etc, should be paid for by the person receiving the service.

No - we feel everyone, young and old and in between, has something to offer! Youth can offer services for navigating the computer and internet, yard care, pet sitting, crafting, volunteer opportunities and more. Please offer to meet in a public place with a parent or guardian nearby.
I NEED A SERVICE THAT REQUIRES TOOLS - WHO SUPPLIES THE TOOLS?
The person requesting the service is responsible for supplying the necessary materials. However if you need a plumber, for example who has work tools and is willing to use them, this is an agreement between the provider and the person receiving the service.

We want everyone to have a positive experience in the time exchange. If you feel uncomfortable with the person offering the service, you may decline the service.
